American actor Omar Benson Miller is making the most of his time in South Africa, from beachside adventures with African penguins to enjoying matcha with Springboks captain Siya Kolisi in Cape Town.
Miller recently took to Instagram to share highlights from his trip to the Mother City, giving fans a glimpse into his South African experience.
The actor posted photos and videos from Boulders Beach, where he spent time exploring the coastline and interacting with the famous African penguins.
During his visit, Miller also met up with Kolisi, with the pair bonding over matcha drinks in Cape Town.
Kolisi later shared a photo of them on Instagram, captioning it: “From California to Cape Town, hope you enjoyed our country.”
Miller responded warmly to the Springboks star, replying: “Thanks for the hospitality 🫡.”
Kolisi has become well known for showcasing South Africa to international celebrities and visitors whenever he is away from rugby duties.
Earlier this year, English football legend and media personality Ian Wright also visited South Africa and received a memorable welcome from Kolisi.
The pair shared videos documenting their Cape Town adventures, embracing local culture and experiences across the city.
Kolisi even took Wright on a township tour, where they enjoyed a traditional braai at one of his favourite shisanyama spots.
The two were later seen relaxing at a taxi rank while sharing a heartfelt conversation, offering fans a more personal glimpse into their friendship.
Kolisi and Wright also linked up with South African content creator Jonathan Peter.
In one of the standout moments from the trip, the trio danced to "Jerusalema" by Master KG on the lawns of Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel.
Meanwhile, Kolisi recently confirmed an emotional new chapter in his rugby career.
The Springboks captain played his final match for the Sharks on Saturday, May 16, and is expected to return to Cape Town in July to rejoin the DHL Stormers at the end of the current rugby season.
The move will allow Kolisi to be closer to his family while also mentoring younger players as part of the Stormers’ long-term plans.
Speaking after his farewell match at Hollywoodbets Kings Park Stadium in Durban, Kolisi thanked supporters for embracing him during his time in KwaZulu-Natal.
“Sharks family, today was the last one, very emotional day. I just want to say thank you so much to the whole Sharks family for the support. Thank you for the love that you’ve shown me,” said Kolisi.
“To the people of KZN, you’ve been amazing. Thank you for all the support.”
