Siya Kolisi has paused rugby tackles for tropical vibes as he enjoys a sun-soaked (well, it looks rainy at the moment) getaway in the Seychelles with his children this week.

After Rachel Kolisi celebrated an early Christmas with the kids and their siblings, Liyema and Liphelo, last week, it’s now the captain’s turn to create some unforgettable holiday memories in paradise.

Rachel shared heart-warming photos of her early Christmas gathering, where smiles were aplenty, and laughter filled the air. The festive celebration took place ahead of December 25 because the children were due to leave the following day.

It was a mix of family bonding, holiday cheer, and a reminder that even in complex family dynamics, love and togetherness remain central.

For many families, festive traditions don’t always have to fall on a single day, and the Kolisis are proving just that.

This week, it’s Siya’s turn to take the reins, whisking the kids away to the Indian Ocean for some quality father-and-children time. The Seychelles, with its white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush landscapes, offers the perfect backdrop for a mix of adventure and relaxation.

Social media snippets suggest the family is keeping it relaxed yet fun. It’s clear Siya is embracing his role not just as a rugby legend but as a dad who knows how to make every moment count.

While Rachel’s early Christmas ensured the kids could celebrate with both sides of the family, Siya’s vacation adds a whole new layer of excitement and memories.

The contrast between Rachel’s early Christmas and Siya’s tropical getaway highlights the versatility of modern festive celebrations.

Not every family sticks strictly to December 25; some celebrate when it works best, combining travel, quality time, and holiday traditions into an experience that fits their lifestyle.

For the Kolisis, it’s about keeping the festive spirit alive, whether it’s opening presents early or chasing waves under a tropical sun.
