Clifton has officially gone next level, just when you thought it couldn't get any fancier - especially after we've seen vendors charging an obscene amount for a tiny Coke - we are surprised once again.
A TikTok video is now proving that Uber isn’t just for the roads, ah ah… it’s for the ocean too, mnr!
In the video, a guy can be seen chilling on a yacht, sunglasses on, sun shining, as he casually says: “They call this Uber Ice Cream.”
Pause, what? Yes, you heard that right. Uber ice cream delivered to a yacht in Clifton, where your last beach trip meant buying a Coke from a cooler box at R120.
Apparently, while the yacht crew was enjoying the vibes, someone got a sudden sweet tooth. Before they knew it, a mysterious “Uber ice cream” employee (not really Sieke, don’t worry) appeared, passing ice cream straight onto the yacht from… a cooler box.
Yes, the same red one that normally keeps your beers lekker cold at church picnics. Askies.
The TikToker’s commentary sums it up: “This is when you buy ice cream off a boat.” It’s giving "Below Deck" vibes, like when you run out of rosé on a yacht and have to ask another boat for more because, how dare they not have the bath-water-pink wine ready?
And just to add that extra Mzansi energy, Sister Bethina was blasting in the background. Iconic.
Oh, and the plot twist. The guyhad a card machine. Yes, you can tap your card and get ice cream delivered straight to your yacht. We’re living in the future, people. It’s like the world collectively said, “Let’s satisfy cravings and make life extra easy.”
Now, here’s the real question: what’s next? Uber flight? Imagine ordering a flight from your phone, and a pilot shows up in 20 minutes to fly you anywhere in Cape Town. Need to grab groceries from the Waterfront? Just tap and fly. Your Uber Eats could literally come with wings.
@Decent Person🇿🇦 commented: "Only in Capetown 🤣❤️✌️." Exactly! Leave it to Cape Town to turn a simple ice cream run into a full-on yacht operation. Only here does a red cooler box double as a luxury service.
@aesha Jonathan also commented: "Hustle is real🔥😂" No kidding. Somewhere out there, someone is thinking: why just serve ice cream the normal way when you can make it a whole performance? Cape Town’s entrepreneurial spirit is showing.
While @SMnotoza commented: "Secure the bag, uncle! 🤣🔥👏🏾." Preach. Card machine, sun, waves, and ice cream. The hustle has officially gone maritime.
