Double World Cup-winning Springbok Willie le Roux took to X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday to remind people that he is not just sharp on the rugby field, but also on social media.

After not featuring for the Bulls in their 52-17 romp of the Lions at Ellis Park on Saturday afternoon, his critics were quick to say that the Loftus Versfeld troops look better playing without him in the side.

The Bulls scored eight tries between the backs and the forwards as they took another strong step forward in the United Rugby Championship.

However, those posts did not go down well with the decorated Bok centurion, and he took the time following the victory to respond to them and to assure the nay-sayers that he is far from done at the Bulls.

User @JWCoetzee posted on X: “Amazing how much better the Bulls look without Willie le Roux, and with Papier + Pollard finally trusted to kick in their own half. Whole team looks transformed.”

Le Roux replied to this: “Cheers tjom, have a lekker weekend”.

Another user, @Zulu_Goku, left a few lines: “Willie le Roux. It might be time Oom”.

Le Roux responded with: “Time for what my friend? Have a lekker weekend our forwards was awesome tonight (by the way)”.

The fullback was rested for the return Jukskei derby due to Bok protocols, which suggests that he could still be involved with the national team this season following his 100th cap against Italy in Gqeberha last year.

He last played against the All Blacks in Auckland in September but did not feature in any of the November Tests in Europe.
