SuperSport seeks revenge against Leopards
By Charles Baloyi
SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt has urged his players to come out firing on all cylinders when they host Black Leopards in their Absa Premier league match at the Atteridgeville Super Stadium on Tuseday at 7.30pm.
Hunt, who is hoping to win the league title for the first time in his coaching career this season, wants United to take the match to their opponents.
United will be seeking revenge for their 2-0 loss in the corresponding fixture in Limpopo.
"Everything has gone fine so far. I'm happy with our preparations," said Hunt.
"We will be trying our best but a good start is important. Leopards have often proved to be a problem to us in the past and this match remains our toughest test yet."
Hunt refused to use home ground advantage as an excuse to claim all the points on offer. "Maybe it can work, but until we score the first goal, we have no advantage.
"We are under pressure every day in this team and that's why we will be aiming to stretch ourselves for the results."
Hunt has also issued a warning to his players as he bids to bring back the old days at United.
"We have a few youngsters who are ready to compete.
"No one is guaranteed a starting berth in this team. Everyone will have to earn their place," said Hunt.
Hunt promised to unveil new signing George Malukeka and the ever-improving youngster Masibusane Zongo, who has been on loan at AmaTuks.
In third position with 24 points, United stand a good chance to become one of the contenders in the title race.
They trail log leaders Ajax of Cape Town by two points.
