Australian biker Findlay dies

Former Australian Grand Prix rider Jack Findlay has died at the age of 72.

Findlay's best championship finish was second behind Giacomo Agostini in 1968 while he also won three Grand Prix races in the old 500cc class.

In 1975 he won the Formula 750 FIM Prize and he was also the first rider to use Michelin tyres.

In 1992, he became Grand Prix Technical Director for the International Motorcycling Federation, until the end of 2001, when he retired.

He died on Saturday night.
