Skinstad injured in club match

Bobby Skinstad's World Cup comeback appeared to have suffered a setback on Saturday.

The former Springbok captain and No 8 was injured late in a club game and was due to have an x-ray on Saturday night.

Skinstad, who is playing for University of Cape Town in an attempt to convince the selectors that he will be ready for the World Cup, hurt his right forearm in a tackle. He was in some pain and although he played on in the match against Durbanville-Bellville, he left the field soon afterwards.

It is unclear whether the injury will cost him a place in Bok coach Rudolf Straeuli's World Cup squad at the end of this month.
