When the Argentinean holder of the International Boxing Organisation junior welterweight title, Pablo Sarmiento, behaved in an unprofessional manner by refusing to wear the T-shirt of the sponsors of Saturday night's "Legacy" tournament, he inadvertently made an enemy with a local fighter.

Now whatever respect All Africa junior lightweight champion Stephen Carr had for him is over.

The challenger now intends paying tribute to retiring World Boxing Union junior flyweight champion Jacob "Baby Jake" Matlala by knocking out Sarmiento to become the new IBO champion at Carnival City's Big Top Arena.

"Sarmiento is arrogant and disrespectful. He is a dirty fighter. Now we intend showing him he has never fought someone like Stephen before.," said Carr's manager, Chris Denicker snr.

Tensions at Wednesday's pre-fight medical rose when Spanish-speaking Sarmiento and his handlers refused to wear the shirts of Nashua, sponsors of this five world and two international title bouts.
