Andrews to miss out on Currie Cup final
Natal Sharks captain and Springbok lock Mark Andrews will miss Saturday's Currie Cup final.
The Sharks on Thursday finalised their team to face Western Province at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town (kickoff 5pm) and coach Rudolph Straeuli was forced to omit Andrews due to injury.
Andrews had been given until Thursday to fully recover from a calf injury that kept him out of their 16-9 semifinal win over the Lions last weekend.
Hooker John Smit takes over the captaincy.
In the backline, Gaffie du Toit was named at flyhalf, with Herkie Kruger on the reserves bench.
