Brazen killers fire six shots into patron before taking off with laptop and phone in Table View
Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old man at a café in Marine Circle, Table View, on Monday afternoon.

The Mother City was rocked by two brazen murders in broad daylight on Monday.
In the first case, a 23-year-old was shot dead inside his vehicle in Mitchells Plain at 8am, while later in the day, two unknown gunmen entered a popular restaurant on Marine Circle, Table View, and shot and killed a 33-year-old man before taking off with his laptop and phone.
According to a bystander, two gunmen stormed the News Cafe and fired six bullets at the victim, who is believed to be a regular at the restaurant.
The person explained: “Two guys went in and shot the guy. He shot him. Six bullets. They took his phone and laptop.”
Police spokesperson FC van Wyk confirmed: “Table View police registered a murder case following a shooting incident on Monday, May 25 2026 at about 2pm at a café at Marine Circle, Table View.
“According to reports, Table View SAPS members attended to a shooting incident at the mentioned address and upon arrival at the scene, they found the body of the 33-year-old male with several gunshot wounds lying on his stomach.
“The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel.
“The circumstances surrounding this fatal shooting incident are under investigation. The motive for the attack is yet to be determined and arrests are yet to be made.

Earlier in the day, cops say two men approached the Mitchells Plain victim on foot on the corner of Weltevreden Valley and Highlands Drive.
Police spokesperson Thembakazi Mpendukana explained: “A 23-year-old male was shot dead by unknown gunmen in his car at the corner of Weltevreden Valley and Highlands Drive.
“Reports state that the unknown suspects fled the scene on foot, and Lentegeur SAPS has opened a murder case regarding this incident.
“No arrest has been made, and the investigation continues.”
Michael Jacobs, chairperson for the Lentegeur Community Police Forum (CPF), said the motive for the shooting is under investigation.
Jacobs explained: “As the Lentegeur CPF, we condemn the attack on a driver this morning at the robots in Colorado Park, in which the person died.
“The motive for the attack is under police investigation and calls on SAPS and City Law Enforcement agencies to collaborate to ensure the shooters are apprehended and prosecuted.”
