American actress Gabrielle Union recently spent some time in South Africa, visiting places that are near and dear to her.
The “Bring It On” star visited Klein Goederust Boutique Winery, which she described as the only Black-owned winery in Cape Town.
Union went on to share a post, where she revealed she had buried her father's ashes at a winery in Cape Town, under the same vines that they had planted a few years ago as a family.
"May you nourish the earth the way you nourished us. May the blessings be bountiful. May the abundance be wrapped in peace, kindness, and consideration. May the legacy continue," captioned Union the post.
Union's video also revealed that, after she and her family had left the estate, the team at Klein Goedeust surprised her by replacing the "makeshift lipstick marker with something permanent."
In a previous post, Union shared snaps from the estate. She praised the owners and wrote that they had “become family to us”, giving followers a glimpse into the warm connections she made during her stay.
While in Cape Town, Union also could not resist indulging in some retail therapy. She visited AKJP Studio, a fashion store known for showcasing local designers.
“I have a problem,” she joked in one clip after initially saying she planned to pick up only “one or two things”.
The actress also teased that she was in the country filming a mystery project. While she kept details under wraps, she shared a selfie with fellow actor Michael Ealy, hinting that something exciting may be in the works.
