A man survived a serious crash when his vehicle fell off a cliff in Cape Town on Sunday, April 26. The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred along the Main Road in Misty Cliffs near Kommetjie. Video footage of the crash is circulating on social media.

At the time, it was a wet day across the City and the roads were damp, however, at the time of the incident it does not seem to be raining.

The video is time stamped 6.30pm, and starts off showing a white sedan passing along the road.

Out of nowhere, a bakkie, which was fully loaded, comes crashing down from the hill.

The vehicle hit the road grille first, and loses the load immediately on the back before rolling once.

Less than a second later, in what can only be described as an adrenaline rush, the driver of the vehicle alights without any visible injuries.

As he climbs over his load that has been strewn across the road, he turns back to look at his vehicle. Visibly shaken.

The driver then looks around and places his hand on his hips as he looks at the crash scene.

Seconds later, the driver moves around. Once he sees an oncoming vehicle, he throws his hands to stop the oncoming motorist to prevent another crash.
