Following the passing of Chuck Norris, the legendary martial artist, actor, and cultural icon, tributes have flooded in from around the globe.
The 86-year-old's family released a heartfelt statement confirming his death.
“It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning.”
The family added that he died peacefully, “surrounded by his family and was at peace.”
Remembered both for his public achievements and private devotion, the statement reflected on his legacy.
“To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather and the heart of our family.”
They also highlighted the deep connection Norris had with his supporters, noting: “To him, you were not just fans, you were his friends.”
The news comes just days after Norris marked his 86th birthday, sharing a message of gratitude with fans.
“I don’t age. I level up. I’m grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love.”
Among the prominent figures to respond was Dan Patrick, who described Norris as both a personal friend and a national figure.
“It is with great personal sadness that I’ve learned my friend and American Icon Chuck Norris has passed away,” Patrick said.
He praised Norris’s character and influence, calling him “a true American success story” and “one of the finest people I’ve ever met.”
Recalling a personal anecdote, Patrick added humor in tribute to Norris’s larger-than-life persona.
“Our joke was that Chuck could cut the birthday cake with a karate chop and not get icing on his hand.”

“He started the ‘Kickstart Kids’ program. He loved those kids.”
International leaders also expressed their condolences. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing Norris as “a great friend of Israel and a close personal friend.”
