Eleven members of the Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) were back in the dock at Athlone Magistrates Court on Thursday as the investigation into the alleged murder of Wade Price continues.
Their return to the dock comes after the officers were previously granted bail during a lengthy appeal at the Western Cape High Court last month.
The officers, who may not be identified as per a court ruling, are facing charges of kidnapping, torturing, assault, and defeating the administration of justice, as well as the killing of Price, an alleged Clever Kids gangster on December 4, 2025, following an interrogation of a shooting incident outside the same court the previous day.

The court heard that the investigation is still underway, as DNA reports are outstanding, however the investigation is at an advanced stage.
Defence attorney Bruce Hendricks requested that the investigation be marked final as the same has been coming on for a long time. However, the magistrate said that the accused were arrested in December and DNA results can take up to eight or nine months to be completed.
He further asked the court to allow accused nine, who was released on bail of R1 000 in the Athlone Court, to also have her bail conditions relaxed and to be allowed to enter Manenberg in her official capacity.
This comes after a High Court decision last month to lift restrictions barring the officers from entering Manenberg should not be final.
The case was postponed to June 12, for further investigations.
