Police were called to a shooting incident in Bo-Kaap on Sunday night, where an adult male was shot and wounded.
According to police reports, the victim was standing at the corner of Lion and Military Roads when an unknown assailant approached him and opened fire.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg explained that no arrests have been made thus far, and the victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
“Cape Town Central police have registered an attempted murder case for investigation following the shooting incident on Sunday, March 1, at approximately 9:45 PM, at the corner of Lion and Military Roads in Bo-Kaap, where an adult male was shot and wounded,” Twigg stated.
“Upon arrival at the scene, police members found the victim, who had sustained gunshot wounds to his body. The victim was subsequently transported to a medical facility for further treatment. According to reports, the victim was approached by an unknown suspect who shot him before fleeing the scene.”

The motive behind the shooting has yet to be disclosed by the police.
