Triple murder investigation launched in Milnerton following shooting incident

Police are probing a shooting incident in Milnerton where three people tragically lost their lives on Saturday.

The streets of Joe Slovo in Milnerton were shattered by violence last night as the police launched a murder investigation following a tragic shooting incident that claimed the lives of three individuals.

The shooting occurred at approximately 10:30pm on February 21, leaving a community in shock and raising urgent questions about safety.

Upon arrival at the scene on Freedom Way, police discovered a silver Toyota Avanza riddled with multiple bullet holes. Inside the vehicle, the lifeless bodies of two adult females were found, both tragically pronounced dead at the scene. A few metres away, the body of a 36-year-old male was located, adding to the grim toll of the night.

The deceased male, according to family sources, had a previous association with the taxi industry, while one of the female victims is reported to be his girlfriend. The nature of their deaths has not only brought sorrow to their families but also sparked a wave of fear and concern in the local community.

As of now, the motive behind this brutal attack remains unclear, and the suspects are still at large. SAPS has urged anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward. "We appeal to any witnesses or individuals who may have pertinent information to assist us in our investigation. All information will be treated with the strictest confidentiality," stated police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut.

The investigation has been assigned to the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Detectives, who are working tirelessly to uncover the circumstances surrounding this horrific event.
