The trial was postponed to February 27.
In a separate matter of a deadly Facebook Marketplace scam, Morte Nelson, 18, and Ashiekah Naidoo, 23, were joined in the dock at the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday after both accused abandoned their bid for bail.
The court was expected to hear whether a third suspect, Monray Martin, 34, would be joining proceedings after being hospitalised under police guard after being shot in the same incident.
According to sources, Martin is scheduled to undergo another surgery. The trio face charges for the killing of Mogamat Yusuf Daniels following a Facebook Marketplace scam after he was shot on September 24, 2025.
