Khayelitsha police seek public's help in finding missing eight-year-old Oyama Titshala

Authorities in Khayelitsha are urgently seeking the public's help to locate eight-year-old Oyama Titshala, who has been missing since December 14, 2025. Oyama was last seen leaving his home in Ceba Street, Makhaza, and was reported missing by his mother on January 2, 2026.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing green shorts, an orange jacket, and pink running shoes.

“Khayelitsha Family Violence Child Protection Sexual Offences Unit seeks the assistance of the public to help find eight-year-old Oyama Titshala, who went missing on December 14, 2025, when he left his home in Ceba Street, Makhaza, and has not been seen since,” said police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg.

The Khayelitsha Family Violence Child Protection Sexual Offences Unit is appealing to anyone with information that could assist in the investigation or who knows the whereabouts of Oyama to come forward. Detective Captain Riccardo McCree is leading the investigation and can be contacted directly at 082 522 3154. Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously to CrimeStop at 08600 10111.
