A second suspect has joined the boyfriend of four-month-pregnant Shanice Rudolph, 23, whose body was found buried in a shallow grave at Klip Road Cemetery in Grassy Park, in the dock at the Wynberg Magistrates ’Court.
Ashwin Davids and one other, stepped into the courtroom, amid chaos of a bomb scare on Thursday.
Davids is facing a charge of murder for Rudolph, who was last seen in Ouboet Street, Cafda on December 4.
It has yet to be confirmed what charges the second suspect is facing.
On Tuesday, December 9, Rudolph's body was found hidden in a shallow grave, on top of another female corpse.
Davids was arrested this week as the investigation intensified surrounding Rudolph's disappearance with members from the police, missing persons organisations and neighbourhood watch teams.
The interviews followed discussions with Rudolph's family.
It is alleged that Rudolph left her home in Lavender Hill apparently with Davids, who claimed he had his car trouble and was making use of the services of a mechanic.

It is understood that a vital witness had pointed out where the remains were and that Rudolph had apparently sustained a head injury.
On Thursday in court, Davids indicated he would be applying for bail.
The matter was postponed to December 18 for the formal bail application.
Police spokesperson, Captain FC Van Wyk confirmed the second suspect’s arrest: “A 23-year-old male was arrested on (Wednesday). Both suspects appeared in the Wynberg Magistrates Court on Thursday (yesterday).”
Drama unfolded at the court house following the bomb scare with the building being evacuated.
Reports indicate that the police confirmed the building was searched by the SAPS K9 Unit and found no suspicious devices.
Police confirmed that a caller indicated to staff that there was a bomb on one of the floors.
Earlier Rudolph's distraught family told Cape Argus she was excited at the prospects of being a mother.
The court roll was reopened after midday for cases to resume.
