Three double murders in three days - the latest took place in Stratford Green, Eerste River where the bloodied bodies of a woman and a man were found inside a bedroom on Tuesday morning.
Police were called to the crime scene in Noord Street, Stratford Green, Eerste River just after 11.15am on December 9 , where the bodies of the two victims were discovered.
The man lay in the bed while the woman was found on the floor, in a pool of blood.
Police spokesperson, Captain FC Van Wyk explained that the motive is believed to be gang related.
"Kleinvlei police registered two counts of murder following a shooting incident on Tuesday, December 9 , 11:15am at a premises in Noord Street, Stratford Green, Eerste River. Two adult persons (female aged 35 and male unknown age) were shot and fatally wounded
."Circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation. The motive is believed to be gang related.
"Anyone with information about this shooting incident is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer Detective Sergeant Tobani Plaatjie on 071 298 6857 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
"The murders follow the double murder of two brothers in Mtsha Street, Lusaka, Nyanga on Monday night where the bodies of the men were discovered in Phase 2.
Police spokesperson, Captain FC Van Wyk explained that the victims were brothers and were targeted inside a wendy house.
On Sunday, police visited Warwick Crescent in Eerste River, which is also part of Stratford Green, where the bodies of two adult males were found aged 20 and 25-years-old.
A 16-year-old boy was also wounded during the shooting.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Wesley Twigg explained what happened: "According to reports the victims were standing in the road when a white vehicle drove up to them and one of the occupants of the vehicle opened fire on them before fleeing the scene.
"Murder and attempted murder cases were registered for investigation."
