SA beauty entrepreneur Unaiza Suliman is preparing for one of the biggest moments of her career as she readies the release of her first book, set to hit shelves in February.

And for Suliman, who built her business from the ground up, the book marks a personal milestone she once thought was far out of reach.

Her debut, she said, has already sparked interest, with industry watchers predicting it could become one of next year’s standout best-sellers.

Suliman is known for shaping the local beauty industry through her Halaal Brows brand, her sharp business instincts and, more recently, the development of the Halaal Brows App.

“Writing this book made me look back at my journey in a way I never have before," she said, adding the book is called Elevate: The self mastery and success blueprint for visionary women.

"It reminded me how many times I had to start again.

“I wanted to create something real, something people can use in their everyday lives — not just motivation for the moment.”

She said so many women messaged her saying they feel stuck or scared to begin.

"This book is my way of saying, ‘You’re not alone, and you can still build the life you want’.

“Every chapter comes from lessons I learnt the hard way. If sharing them helps even one person, then it’s worth it.

“This is just the start for me. I want to build a body of work that will guide people long after the trends change.

“The book and the app both come from the same place — wanting to empower people with practical tools, not just pretty ideas.”

Over the years she has built a public profile centred on growth, empowerment and authenticity — themes that now form the backbone of her upcoming book.

The self-help and personal development guide brings together the lessons Suliman says carried her through both triumphs and setbacks.

"It covers motivation, confidence, personal transformation, the daily habits that support success, and the kind of business thinking I believe modern entrepreneurs need to survive," she said.

"I also included real-life stories about risk, resilience and reward, offering readers a practical look at the experiences that shaped me."

Suliman said it was also the first in a planned series of titles expected to roll out over the next five to 10 years.

She said it would expand her reach beyond beauty into personal mastery, entrepreneurship, mindset and women’s empowerment.

"The announcement has already caught the attention of readers and publishing insiders, many of whom believe the release could cement me as one of SA’s emerging voices in leadership and self-development.

"Supporters say my blend of business experience and lived reality sets me apart from traditional motivational writers."

The book comes at a pivotal time for Suliman, who is preparing to launch the Halaal Brows App — a platform aimed at reshaping beauty education, product access, personal development programmes, masterclasses and influencer-driven content both locally and abroad.

Together, the app and the book form what she hopes will become a broader empowerment ecosystem under the Halaal Brows banner.

Suliman said the book was a new chapter in her entrepreneurial journey — and, she hopes, the start of a movement built on motivating and educating a new generation of readers.
