Police launch investigation into Bromwell Street shooting incident
Two men that were shot in the vicinity of Bromwell Street, Woodstock are currently receiving medical attention.

Police are investigating the murder and attempted murder of two men in a shooting incident that took place in Bromwell Street, Woodstock, on Friday, November 7.
The incident, which took place around 10pm, left two men, aged 26 and 60, injured, with one of them succumbing to his wounds.
According to provincial police spokesperson Captain F. C. Van Wyk, the authorities are treating the case as both a murder and an attempted murder.
“Police members attended to the crime scene where they found the victims with gunshot wounds to their bodies,” he said.
Van Wyk said both victims were taken to a medical facility for treatment. Van Wyk confirmed that the 60-year-old man died as a result of the shooting.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, and arrests are yet to be made,” he said.
In recent months, Woodstock and Salt River have been plagued by shooting incidents.
In July, a 33-year-old man was shot dead in the early hours of the morning in Salt River on Friday, July 4, and then, before that, on Wednesday, July 2, there was an attempted murder, when a 39-year-old man was shot at his home in Shelley Street, Salt River.
Then on Sunday, June 29, a 37-year-old man was killed, also in Bromwell Street, in the early hours, around 1.20am
Then, earlier in June, Woodstock police investigated the attempted murder of a 16-year-old man who was shot multiple times on the corner of Cecil Road and Dryden Street, Salt River.
