Meet the trailblazing women leading the 2025 Women in Business Initiative

The Cape Argus proudly announces the finalists of the 2025 Women in Business initiative, a platform dedicated to celebrating women who are breaking barriers, uplifting communities, and reshaping the future of business.

This year, the initiative attracted an inspiring array of entries from women across industries – from pioneering start-ups and innovative brands to leaders of established enterprises.

Each story reflected not only entrepreneurial success but also purpose, resilience, and meaningful impact.

From this remarkable pool of talent, the Cape Argus is proud to present the Top Six Finalists for 2025:

Aditi Radhakrishna – Ruby Rose Feminine Hygiene

Cheri-Lynn Freeman – Mzansi Business Services

Kim Lee Vergotine – VK Fire Tech

The overall winner will receive a R100 000 media exposure package across Independent Media’s print titles and digital platforms, offering a powerful opportunity to grow their brand and reach new audiences.

A distinguished panel of judges, including Rachel Kolisi, CEO and co-founder of the Kolisi Foundation, Managing Director and businesswoman.

Fazielah Allie, Managing Director of K9 pet foods and Claire Protheroe in the entrepreneurship and employee wellness space, will evaluate the finalists.

Their combined expertise ensures that the winner will be someone whose vision, resilience, and leadership truly embody the spirit of the initiative.

The Cape Argus Women in Business initiative is more than a competition – it is a celebration of women whose determination is shaping the future of our city and our country.
