Cape Town - A Vredehoek couple is expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Monday for converting a section of their home into a hi-tech dagga cultivating greenhouse.
The husband, 42, and his wife, 51, face drug-dealing charges.
A police statement on their arrest said they were “cultivating dagga in a hydroponic laboratory”.
Dagga worth R50 000 and equipment were confiscated during a police sting at their home on Friday.
Photos taken by police during the sting operation show what appears to be an outdoor greenhouse and another shows a wire contraption appearing to hold up dagga plants.
