As December rolls in and the rugby season winds down, Springboks captain Siya Kolisi has traded his Springboks captaincy for being a hands-on dad to his kids.

His recent adventures in Cape Town with his son, Nicholas Kolisi, have shown fans that despite changes in his personal life, he remains committed to family.

Siya recently captured fans' hearts when he showed up at Nicholas's school to watch his son play a rugby match against Durbanville Primary.

Being there on the sidelines, fans quickly snapped photos and shared videos of Siya cheering, looking every bit the proud dad.

In an Instagram Story, Siya shared a video of an ecstatic Nicholas running towards him in the school corridors. Siya then lifts up Nicholas and embraces him.

In a more recent Instagram video, Siya and Nicolas are soaking up the sun while riding bicycles on the Cape Town promenade.

"Back in the Mother City, doing the most with this champ. Reunited," said Siya in the video, before asking his son to chant the popular Wynberg Boys High School War Cry, "Felica".

"Wynberg Boys, but he goes to Bishop," continued Siya.

In the caption Siya, playfully wrote: "Boys will be boys ❤️ @wynbergboyshighschool_official keep the chants coming 😂😂."

Rumours may be swirling online regarding Siya, his alleged new girlfriend, Rachel John, but his heart clearly lies in being an involved dad.

Back in January, he whisked Nicholas, his daughter Keziah and his adopted half-siblings, Liyema and Liphelo, off to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe for a holiday.

This was his very first “single dad” trip.

Documenting their adventures, Siya shared a series of joyful moments. A highlight of the holiday was a thrilling night-time safari drive, where the family, armed with eager anticipation, witnessed the enchanting nocturnal wildlife that the region is renowned for.
