HELL Run Tobruk is the third book in the Jack Pembroke series, set during World War II. The story follows Lieutenant Jack Pembroke, who is ordered to sail his ship, HMSAS Gannet, from South Africa to Egypt. With the Mediterranean almost closed to shipping and Rommel’s forces advancing in North Africa, the journey is dangerous.

In Alexandria, Jack meets a Spanish woman and falls in love. However, his romance is soon interrupted by the realities of war. He must escort supply ships to Tobruk, where the Second South African Infantry Division is stationed. As enemy bombers attack, Jack faces not only the dangers of battle but also his own struggles.

The tension builds as Tobruk is surrounded and on the verge of falling to Axis forces, with Gannet still trapped in the port. Jack and his crew must find a way to survive while dealing with their fears and responsibilities.

This book combines elements of romance and military action, giving readers a look at the challenges soldiers faced during the war. Each book in the Jack Pembroke series can be read on its own, making it easy for new readers to jump in while still appealing to those who have followed Jack's story from the beginning.

Hell Run Tobruk offers a gripping tale of love and duty in the midst of conflict. It’s a solid read for anyone interested in historical fiction, with enough action and emotion to keep readers engaged.
