David Kramer’s Orpheus McAdoo Musical explores love, ambition, identity and cultural collision in colonial-era South Africa.

Through the story of McAdoo and his Virginia Jubilee Singers, the show celebrates the transformative power of music, blending spirituals, ragtime and early American folk with South African influences.

It delves into race, performance and resilience, honouring a buried legacy while showing how music can connect people, communities and histories across time and continents.

Where: The Artscape Theatre.

When: Runs until October 31. Show times are at 2pm and 7pm, depending on the day.

Gap Year

Camps Bay Classical Ballet School proudly presents "Gap Year", a music and dance extravaganza. Follow Isabella as she embarks on a cultural gap year, departing from Cape Town International Airport to explore the world.

This vibrant production features a variety of dance genres, from classical and neo-classical ballet to musical theatre and traditional dances, inspired by the rich heritage of the UK, Scotland, Spain, Italy, and France.
