Thabsie has stylishly marked ten years of marriage with her husband, Thando Vokwana.
The singer shared a warm anniversary post on Instagram, giving her followers a look into the love, humour, and little routines that have carried their relationship all these years.
She posted a series of pictures from a wedding shoot. In the pictures, she is holding a bouquet of white daisies while the two hold hands and look into each other’s eyes.
They kept it simple and classy with their stylish looks. The 34-year-old musician kept it minimal with a classic, modern white strapless dress that draped down on the sides. She finished off the look with white heels and a white fascinator.
Her husband, on the other hand, matched her look with a white tuxedo jacket paired with black trousers and glossy black shoes.
She reflected on the small things that have shaped their marriage, like him making her sit through endless Harry Potter marathons and taking charge of the aux even though she is the musician.
“10 years married to the love of my life. 10 years of making me watch Harry Potter movies over and over again, 10 years of you always controlling the aux even though I’m the musician, 10 years of me being right and you being wrong and 10 years of you spending one day with me so you can spend the next three days playing golf. But jokes aside ...
“You have held my heart in your steady hands through every season we’ve faced. You are gentle, you are kind, and so patient with me.
"You really are love personified. I know God is real because He gave me you. I will love you in every tomorrow we are blessed to share. Happy anniversary, Thando Chuma Zukisani Vokwana.”
Her comments section filled up quickly with congratulations from friends, industry peers, and fans who have watched her journey over the years. Their anniversary coincides with Thabsie’s return to the music scene.
After being away from the spotlight for a while, she has been easing her way back with a new single titled “Again”. The two-minute-long song is soulful, with her warm and sultry vocals taking the lead.
Its chorus takes inspiration from Harrison Cump’s “Once Again” and carries themes of reflection, love and choosing yourself again
The "African Queen" singer has also recently featured on DJ Zinhle’s uplifting single “Kusazokhanya”, and fans have responded with excitement, happy to hear her voice back on the airwaves and music streaming platforms with new music.
