Monique Muller, well-known South African influencer and former girlfriend of award-winning presenter Katlego Maboe, has returned to social media after spending about a week behind bars.
A few weeks ago, Muller was arrested in Ravensmead, Cape Town, on charges of illegal firearm possession, with connections to gang-related activities.
It was reported that the home where the firearm was found is connected to a known gang hitman, raising concerns about the extent of her involvement.
SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg confirmed that Muller faced charges of illegal firearm possession.
She appeared before the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court on October 30.
Since the ordeal, Muller had not been active on social media - that is, until Thursday, November 6.
Upon her return, Muller took to her Instagram Stories to post a sultry barely-there picture that got tongues wagging.

She also shared the quotes: "She's an alchemist. Everything sent to destroy her only made her more radiant and powerful", followed by "When God chooses a woman for a purpose, He first lets the world underestimates her ... So her rise becomes proof of his plan."

Muller gained popularity for her relationship with Maboe.
The couple, who share their son, Phoenix Katlego Maboe, had a tumultuous relationship that ended in a very public dispute back in 2020.
After going their separate ways, Muller carved a career as a social media influencer and has even found her voice as a women's rights activist.
She has been an ambassador for organisations such as SA Women Fight Back and Women For Change, promoting awareness around issues like gender-based violence.
In one of her Instagram Stories, Muller posted about the upcoming G20 Women's Shutdown hosted by Women for Change.
The official website read: "We call on all women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community across South Africa to refrain from all paid and unpaid work in workplaces, universities and homes, and to spend no money for the entire day to demonstrate the economic and social impact of their absence.
"Because until South Africa stops burying a woman every 2.5 hours, the G20 cannot speak of growth and progress. We demand that Gender-Based Violence and Femicide be declared a National Disaster. Not tomorrow. Not at another summit. Now."
