Mzansi reacts to DJ Zinhle's surprising admission: 'I've never been single!'

DJ and businesswoman Zinhle Jiyane Mohosana, professionally known as DJ Zinhle, has revealed that in her life, she has never been without a boo.

In a recent TikTok video, the “Kusazokhanya” hitmaker told her followers that her husband, Bongani “Mörda” Mohosana, loves it when she does her own make-up instead of having it done professionally.

“He says I look the prettiest when I do my own make-up,” she said, smiling. “So I did my own make-up today, and I called him and he said, ‘Oh, you look so pretty'. It was so cute.”

DJ Zinhle then went on to joke about how being single has never been part of her story. “Then I just started thinking about how I would never call as a single person. I don’t think I’ve ever been single, guys,” she said.

Her video got her “besties” talking in the comments, with some followers relating to her experience, while others shared their own relationship stories.

@Yvettelacoste1 commented, “I don’t think I’ve ever been single, too, maybe two months.”

Cookingwithbongi wrote, “All my life, I was single. I got my first boyfriend this year. I’m a late bloomer.”

Ma’ B_omuhle_ngamehlo added, “I’m single because I’m traumatised, guys yoooh. It will really take time for me to bounce. Now back to the question, the longest time I’ve been single was 5 years, and I think it will take another 5 years for me to date again.”

After being in a relationship with the late rapper AKA, with whom she shares a daughter, Kairo Forbes, they later split in January 2020.

DJ Zinhle has been married to fellow artist and former “Black Motion” member Mohosana, known as Mörda, since 2022. 

The pair started dating in June 2021 and share a four-year-old daughter named Asante Mohosana.

They have also worked on music together, and their relationship has often been praised by fans for how they balance love, family and their music careers.
