Tanya Nefdt takes the helm as Head of Marketing at Community Chest

Community Chest Western Cape has announced the appointment of seasoned journalist and broadcaster Tanya Nefdt as its new Head of Marketing and Communications. The move is set to mark an exciting new chapter for the organisation, whose mission is focused on supporting and empowering communities across the Western Cape.
Nefdt brings more than two decades of experience in South African media to the role. She has built a respected career as a broadcast news anchor, Human Interest Reporter, and CNN Journalism Fellow. Most recently, she served as a Breakfast Show co-presenter at Heart FM. Nefdt is well-known for her uplifting storytelling on eNCA and eTV, and her passion for community-focused news has consistently highlighted important people and stories.
In her new capacity, Nefdt will be responsible for leading Community Chest’s marketing and communications strategy. Her primary focus will be on growing brand visibility, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and amplifying the impact of the organisation’s work.
