Four men, including a teenager, were gunned down in Delft, raising concerns about escalating violence in the area.
South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Colonel Andre Traut said the shooting may be part of gang-related murders.
The four males were killed on Wednesday at Zandkloof Street at around 7:20 pm.
"The bodies of the four victims, aged 13, 28, 40, and 41, were found inside a granny flat.
"All four sustained gunshot wounds to the head in what appears to be an execution-style killing," he said.
According to preliminary reports, two unknown male suspects allegedly walked into the dwelling, opened fire without warning, and fled the scene on foot.
The motive is believed to be linked to ongoing gang activity in the area.
The Anti-Gang Unit has taken over the investigation as police intensify efforts to track down the suspects, while members of the public have been urged to assist by contacting Crime Stop with any information.
This is not the only incident in the area. Recently, a 38-year-old mother and her 12-year-old son were shot dead in a mass shooting that left four others wounded on Friday night.
