As the summer sun gently caressed the iconic Huguenot Monument, the second edition of the Capitec Franschhoek Cap Classique & Champagne Festival came alive on the weekend of 29 and 30 November. Inviting guests to toast to life’s finer moments, Capitec partnered with the festival to showcase South Africa’s best bubbly alongside an exquisite selection of French Champagnes. This event, a highlight on the country’s social calendar, was nothing short of a celebration of sophistication, good taste, and culinary excellence.
The allure of the festival was heightened this year by a chic dress theme: “Champagne White with a Pop of Blue and a Note of Pinot Noir Red.” Festival-goers took to heart this sartorial inspiration, leveraging their style to craft looks worthy of the occasion, prompting a visual feast that complemented the lush ambience of the event.
Attendees were treated to a curated experience showcasing South Africa’s top Cap Classiques paired effortlessly with select French Champagnes. Gourmet food stalls tempted the palate with an array of delicious delights while live entertainment uniquely complemented the vibrant atmosphere. Whether one was a seasoned sommelier or simply a lover of life’s joyful moments, the festival managed to provide something delightful for everyone.
Each ticket offered great value, including a keepsake champagne flute and 10 tasting tokens, allowing everyone to sip and savour at their leisure. This thoughtful inclusivity ensured that even newcomers to the sparkling world could partake in the full festival experience.
As the glasses clinked and laughter filled the air, the Capitec Franschhoek Cap Classique & Champagne Festival transcended mere enjoyment— it became a celebration of connections formed over fine bubbly and delectable fare. Guests renewed their spirits and made memories, firmly embracing the motto that living better means banking on better. The weekend proved once again that good taste, sensory delight, and spectacular moments truly come together when we raise our glasses in celebration of life.
