Table Bay police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify three women wearing headscarves, and a man, who can help with the investigation of a R1 350 000 jewellery theft case that occurred on February 22, at the V&A Waterfront.
The heist took place after the group pretended to be customers.
Following their visit, which included fitting on various items, the shop assistant noticed that two pendants and a ring was missing to the value of R1 350 000 and alerted security.
Police have since released the women and man’s photographs, in a bid to appeal for help with the investigation.

Police spokesperson, Anelisiwe Manyana, said: “Table Bay police are seeking the community’s assistance to identify the people depicted in the attached photographs as it is believed they can help police with the investigation of a jewelry theft case which occurred on February 22, 2025, at the V&A Waterfront. Information reveals that around 1pm three unknown females and an unknown male entered a jewelry store at a premises in Alfred Mall, V&A Waterfront.
“It is reported that they enquired about the products in store and requested to take a look at the jewelry of which one of the ladies fitted on and after they were done, they left the store.
“A few minutes later they returned while the shop assistant was still busy putting the jewelry back when one of the ladies requested to see a pendant again.
Police are seeking public assistance to identify this man.

“He assisted her and when they were done, they left the store.
"After some time after they left the shop assistant noticed that two rings and a pendant to the value of R1 350 000 were missing from the cabinet.
"He alerted security but they had already left the V&A Waterfront.”
