Police have arrested a suspect with more than R300 000 worth of magic mushrooms, prescription tablets and an assortment of drugs near Koeberg Power Station.
The 23-year-old suspect is expected to make an appearance in the Atlantis Magistrate's Court soon on charges of the possession of drugs and prescription medication.
The arrest follows the suspicious behaviour of the suspect, who was in a state of confusion when he was approached by Law Enforcement officials on Friday.
He was found to be in possession of a black suitcase and a bucket that contained the stash of mushrooms and drugs, and upon further investigation of his vehicle, they found the rest of the consignment.

Police spokesperson, FC van Wyk, said they requested medical teams to examine the man believing he was ill, only to discover that he was carrying illegal substances.
“Law Enforcement found a person that appeared to be very confused and walking on the R27 just past Koeberg Power Station,” he said.
“An ambulance was called out as well as Melkbosstrand SAPS members.
"On arrival the person was found with a black suitcase and a black bucket.
"The members interviewed the person and could see the man was heavily under the influence.
“On searching the person they found magic mushrooms and dagga in the bucket.
"They then searched the suitcase and found prescription medication, methamphetamine and cocaine inside.
“The suspect was taken back to his vehicle, which had run out of petrol on the R27.
“He was then placed under arrest and taken to Melkbosstrand SAPS.
"He was searched and found in possession of approximately 192 grams of cocaine, 1 458 grams of magic mushrooms, 88 grams of dagga, 336 ecstasy tablets, 108 grams of meth as well as prescription drugs such as Oxynorm, Tramadol, Serdep and Ketamin.
"Total value is approximately R306 000. There were also other tablets in his possession which still needs to be identified.
“A case of possession of drugs, dagga and prescription drugs has been opened. The 23-year-old male will appear in Atlantis Magistrate's Court on the mentioned charges.”
