Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is about to do what it does best — bring people together for an unforgettable night under Cape Town’s skies.

This event has become a tradition that celebrates the best of Mzansi’s talent in a setting that feels like pure magic. Think beautiful greenery, a stunning mountain backdrop, and the kind of energy that only summer in the Mother City can deliver.

Sarah Struys, Events and Tourism Manager at the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), spoke on the significance of this concert: “The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts are not just about the music — they’re about the magic of coming together in one of the world’s most beautiful settings to celebrate community and creativity.

“We are thrilled to present Unity at Kirstenbosch, an extraordinary evening showcasing exceptional local talent in a space that inspires awe and joy.”

Leading the pack are The Black Ties, known for their slick harmonies and irresistible charm. Emo Adams and Loukmaan Adams will bring their signature flavour, blending humour and soulful sounds that Cape Town audiences can’t get enough of.

Fans of powerhouse vocals are in for a treat with performances by Jody Williams, Berry Trytsman, and Robin Pieters—each one guaranteed to give you goosebumps.

Adding to the fun are MCs Mel Jones and Rasheeqah Karriem, who’ll keep the crowd entertained with their quick wit and infectious humour.

And, of course, The Sean D Band will have everyone on their feet, delivering the kind of tunes that make you forget all your worries and just dance.

Grab your picnic blankets, pack some lekkers, and gather your crew—because Unity at Kirstenbosch is where you want to be this December. Tickets are bound to sell out, so don’t sleep on this one. It’s more than a concert; it’s a whole experience.

“Naledi’s Festive Dream”

The holiday season has hit Cape Town, and the V&A Waterfront is bringing festive cheer with Naledi’s Festive Dream, a magical Christmas play created especially for the Mother City.

The show has been running since December 14 and will continue until December 22, this family-friendly show bursts with energy, colour, and local flavour.

The story follows 10-year-old Naledi, a young Capetonian, who invites Father Christmas and his lively crew to experience the magic of a Cape Town Christmas.

From dapper nutcrackers and spinning snowflakes to hip-hop elves and candy canes with serious dance moves, this production is all about fun and festive vibes.

The V&A Amphitheatre has been transformed into an intimate indoor theatre, setting the stage for 40 minutes of pure joy. The play features spirited music, eye-popping costumes, and dance routines that capture the essence of an African festive season.

“Secrets of Summer New Years Eve“

Ring in 2025 in style at Secrets of Summer, South Africa’s most anticipated New Year’s Eve festival, returning to Cape Town on 31 December.

This iconic event is back and better than ever, promising an extraordinary night of music, dance, visuals and pure excitement.

This year, “Secrets of Summer” takes the party to new heights with the debut of its breathtaking multi-level Colosseum main stage.

With two additional intricately designed stages, the festival will feature over 40 artists, each bringing their unique sound and energy to the event.

The three expansive dance floors will keep the party going all night long, with a diverse line-up of local and international talent. From Afro-house to electronic beats, hip-hop, and soulful rhythms, the festival offers something for every music lover.

Some of the incredible talent you can expect include global sensations such as Shapeless, Sophie Francis, Jon Mesquita, Frank Osorio, and Malix. South Africa’s own top-tier artists will also be front and centre, including Da Capo, Caiiro, Timo ODV, Sun-El Musician, Karyendasoul, Lemon & Herb, Das Kapital, Youngsta CPT, Naak, Max Hurrell, Roxy Louw, DJ MIA, DJ Buhle, and Cody Meyer.

With such a stacked line-up, the atmosphere promises to be electric from start to finish.
