Mzansi Magic is closing the chapter of the acclaimed telenovela “Gqeberha: The Empire” after two seasons of captivating drama and unforgettable storytelling.
The telenovela, set in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, follows the story of a powerful businessman and his multiple wives, highlighting their family struggles.
The show is slated to conclude with a dramatic the finale, and since its premiere, audiences have been captivated by its compelling storyline and outstanding performances.

From Anele Matoti’s portrayal of the funny yet complex Msimelelo to Unathi Guma’s portrayal of the strong-willed Funeka, the series has consistently delivered compelling characters.
Nozuko (Kay Bikitsha), Thulani (Thembinkosi Ngcukana), and Season 2’s addition of Bongile Mantsai as the menacing Hlumelo Mxenge have only deepened the show’s storylines.
Its ability to track the growth of characters and weave intricate storylines has captured viewers' imaginations from the start.
It is explained that viewers will witness Hlumelo struggle with the consequences of his bad decisions and ask for assistance from people he hurt in the run-up to the climax.
