Radio personalities Onalenna Kotane and Seipati Mlota are creating love and relationship magic through their Motsweding FM radio show, ‘Tsa Dikamano’.

The show, which airs on Mondays and Thursdays at 1am, is a hit with listeners as well as those seeking to get their dating groove back on.

According to the co-hosts, the show is about sharing love and relationship advice, tips, and reigniting the spark in lovers who are having problems in their relationships.

As the modern-day Sis Dolly, Mlota, a relationship expert, unpacks everything relationship-related by answering callers questions while Kotane, as an experienced radio host, does a good job in sparking and leading conversations.

Speaking to The Star about the magic created by this show, Kotane said she was always excited about using her voice and platform to create lasting relationships.

“Having the beautiful feeling that I am given a task by God to heal millions of listeners with my voice. This excites me everyday because I wake up with a reason.

“With the rising number of homes broken due to relationship and marriage issues which sometimes seen on social media and media publications, I knew that I could play a role in making a change in that aspect through my show on radio,” she said.

On the synergy between herself and her co-host, Kotane said: “Early this year, Seipati Mlota and I started to complement each other, given Seipati’s role as a community advisor in engaging on a number of matters; this has added value of first-hand experience, and we decided to embark on this beautiful journey of assisting people with relationship issues on the airwaves.

“The role she plays in the community and stint role in ‘Finding Love’ has amplified real experiences. As a radio presenter, myself engaging with listeners who ‘cry for help’ has also brought radio relevance by us being the voice of the people.”

When it comes to healing and giving expert advice on relationship and love struggles, Mlota, a life coach and partner to Azola Mlota, the founder of ‘Umjolo with Azola’ on X, is proof that experience is the best teacher. She uses her experience as a professional to impart sound advice.

“First and foremost, experience is the best thing to groom a person. At a young age I was exposed to to societal issues which I had to face and dissect in my community. Numerous people came to me to ask for advise and with my born-wisdom I managed to assist them, I then had to undergo a lot of comprehensive relationship classes and seminars to better equip me to understand more of the dynamics of relationships.”

Mlota said there were many opportunities for young people to tap into the space and help those struggling with social issues to become the best versions of themselves.

“The beauty about it is that one does not necessarily have to go to university to study (if you cannot afford) because you might find affordable online training programmes, which are highly accredited to make you a great relationship expert.

“It’s always advisable that you study through a legitimate and credible institution. A well-respected coach-training programme should have competencies aligned with the International Coach Federation. So as I said, it’s experience and also an accredited training programme that will make you a successful relationship expert.”
