The ever-popular SA's Mystery Ghost Tours will return to Durban on Friday July 13, and Saturday, July 14.
“This will possibly be the tours' last visit to the city after 24 years of operation”, host and tours' owner Mark Rose-Christie said.
Starting at the Edward Hotel on the beachfront, guests can eat and drink from 5.30pm onwards, before departing from the hotel at 7pm.
The tour will then be kicked up a notch as it travels to the famous historic graveyard, after visiting many eerie haunted venues along the way.
Other tour highlights include visits to Addington Hospital, including its children's section with “The Grey Nun” and “White Lady”, followed by the story of Rosey Dry's brothel from yesteryear.
Then it's off to the Durban Club with its exotic Victorian interior. The tour will then make stops at a host of ghosts and pub stops, after visiting The Playhouse Company, which has its own “Phantom of the Opera”.
It will then proceed to the Durban Boys High School, where an additional story is added regarding the city's most well-known tale of “Highway Sheila”… you might even see an apparition of her, but Rose-Christie is not saying how.
Next is the city's most famous “Spook House of Musgrave Road”, followed by the city's most notorious “Poltergeist House” and a nearby haunted house which has even baffled sceptics.
In the same vicinity, the “Science of the Paranormal” is explained along with the different types of ghosts, where guests have the opportunity to prove that invisible force field exists when they utilise the tours' dowsing rods for themselves.
Here, Rose-Christie will use Pyscho-Kinesis (PK) to explain the mechanisms that cause poltergeist phenomena.
The tour finally ends at St. Thomas cemetery, where the city's most important personages, such as ex-mayors, are buried.
After an explanation of “Residual Apparitions” - two of which have been caught on camera by guests over the years - comes the awaited dramatic eerie climax with a thrilling visual effect.

Northlands Musical Theatre Festival
What do you get when you combine a powerhouse female bass-playing vocalist with a gruff-voiced virtuoso blues guitarist and a chameleon-like drummer who can play (and sing) just about anything?
Kerry Hiles, Rob Thompson and Kristo Zondagh.
The three will combine their respective talents and professional experience, impressing audiences countrywide with their touring trio called “Misery Loves Company”.
Together they perform hit tribute shows, cover band material and original songs.

Veteran comedy writer, creator and performer, Melanie Kisten, is bringing her brand-new comedy show, “He Said, She Said, They Said” to The Globe Theatre at Suncoast.
Set in a small town, this high-energy production follows a mother and her 40-year-old son as they navigate the complexities of their relationship while dealing with the influences of the gossip of society.
The mother, struggling with her past decisions and trying to protect her son, finds herself entangled in the town's gossip network.
Meanwhile, her son grapples with his own identity and desires, often caught between loyalty to his mother, his love life and the allure of the gossip aunties’ tantalising stories.
As secrets unravel and tensions rise, the duo must confront the consequences of their actions and decide what truly matters in their lives.
