Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) member Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has given President Cyril Ramaphosa his flowers, saying he is not what many people thought he was, adding that no puppet of white monopoly capitalism can speak as he does.
Ndlozi and his party have many times bashed and accused Ramaphosa of pushing the capitalist agenda and neglecting what the freedom fighters fought for during the apartheid regime.
The land issue, education, economic development and healthcare are some of the matters that the red berets wanted Ramaphosa to address.
Famously known as the “People’s Bae”, Ndlozi took to X, applauding him for his implementations since he took office.
He said none of his predecessors did what he did.
“This man is not what we have been told he is. He is truly up to something. Of all SA heads of state, he has come out as the most committed to policies that matter for the most genuine transformation of the living conditions of our people,” he said.
The National Health Insurance (NHI), Basic Education Laws Amendment (BELA), Expropriation Act and Palestine are some of the policies Ndlozi cheered Ramaphosa on.
He warned that Ramaphosa was on to something, and people need to be careful.
“The left needs to accept this, and rethink its position towards him! Notwithstanding Marikana, Phala Phala, CR is on a journey less travelled by many in his position.
“Worse, under GNU conditions! No puppet of white monopoly capitalism speaks and acts like he does! Sela!” Ndlozi wrote on X.
It was reported that the ANC approached Ndlozi to join the organisation. The secretary-general Fikile Mbalula did not dispute the claims, instead said he would not be surprised because Ndlozi was a "political masterpiece".
Ndlozi recently resigned from Parliament and the party said this was voluntary.
This comes after he was barred from attending the EFF's elective conference in December.
EFF leader Julius Malema labelled him as someone who was full of ego and also accused him of trying to act bigger than the party.
All this started after Floyd Shivambu, the former deputy president, dumped the EFF to join the MK Party led by Jacob Zuma.
It was discovered that Ndlozi knew about the matter but did not disclose any information to the leadership.
Malema at the time said he would not work with people who wanted to destroy the revolution.
