Midrand’s beauty Naledi Matlakala was the latest beauty queen to be eliminated in the race to become the next Miss South Africa 2024.

On the third episode of Crown Chasers, a reality TV show documenting the road to the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant, the 15 women had to celebrate beauty with the beauty brand L’Oreal.

The first challenge for the contestants was to do their makeup within 10 minutes and put an emphasis on their natural beauty with L’Oreal products with no mirrors in.

And the crown chasers absolutely mashed it as they all looked stunning after the challenge was complete.

Soweto’s Nompumelelo Maduna won the makeup challenge, making her our winner for the second week in a row.

A timed Ted Talk was the main challenge and the contestants had to share their speech with the topic “Worth in Progress” and it consisted of the L’Oreal team as the judging panel.

Daveyton’s Lethaukuthula Maseko won the Ted Talk challenge.

Our guest judge for this episode was former IOL journalist Nontando Mposo, who is currently the editor-in-chief of Glamour Magazine.

The Bcom Law student, now former Miss SA contestant, Naledi Matlakala’s journey ended on Saturday as she became the second to be eliminated from the show.

“Hi everybody, Naledi here. Unfortunately the chase has come to an end. I’m going to miss all this craziness including everybody. I’m going to miss the set, I'm going to dream of it a lot but, I'm also going to dream of so much more.

“I am excited to see what is ahead. Thank you all” she said as shared her goodbyes.

Catch episodes of Crown chasers every Saturday at 8:30pm on SABC3. And the repeats on Sunday at 1pm.
