Online boutique owner Kate Gabrielle purchased her house in Hamilton, New Jersey, in 2022 and has since transformed it into a pink paradise, with each room filled with furniture and décor in various shades of the colour.

The house is so overwhelmingly pink that it rivals anything Barbie could imagine.
The exterior of the house offers a hint of what lies within: pink shutters adorn the walls, and two flamingos stand watch by the front door.
She even has her own home cinema.
Kate often hears comments like, “I wish I could live somewhere like this, but my husband would never allow it,” or, “How can you live here? It would drive me mad.”
Her response is simple: “To each their own.”
However, the feedback Kate loves most is when people tell her that the house makes them feel happy, which is precisely what she hoped to achieve.
Kate’s creativity blossomed early, leading her to become a professional illustrator.
However, her passion for decorating eventually took centre stage, prompting her to open an online store on Etsy, where she sold handmade and vintage items as well as craft supplies.
In 2020, she launched her own line of bags, which quickly gained popularity.
When Kate first saw the house, it was a dull brown, but she envisioned something much more vibrant.
Initially, she hadn’t planned on turning her home into a pink palace, but every time she attempted a simple retro look, the kitsch emerged, and soon everything turned pink.
Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties, Kate has had to put her beloved home on the market for $500,000 (R9 million).
The decision to sell has been difficult, but she can no longer afford the mortgage or the associated costs.
After listing her property, Kate shared the news on social media, where it quickly went viral. Many people offered words of comfort and support.
On Instagram, she expressed her gratitude: “Having to move out of a house I’ve loved so much felt very isolating and sad, but your generosity has made this transition into a warm, lovely moment in my life.
“And I’m just so, so grateful.”
Her estate agent reports significant interest, with potential buyers wanting to keep the existing furniture and décor.
However, Kate is considering toning things down to facilitate a quicker sale.
“I’ll probably start making it a little beige,” she says.
