Award-winning actor and entrepreneur Thapelo Mokoena recently launched a new wine at the 2024 Nero & Friends Wine Festival, which was held at the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice, Melrose.

Nero Rosé is the latest addition to his Nero brand. The wine comes from Bosman Family Vineyards, who are partners with Mokoena.

Reflecting on the success of the launch, Mokoena said: “We did a thing this past weekend. Released our new baby, & the next chapter for @nerowineglobal.

“The most amazing experience, with the most beautiful People. An incredible launch reveal & every single one of our guests was surprised with a bottle of the newest member of the Bosman Bakoena Brands Family.

“THE NERO ROSÉ. Here’s to a Rose summer & even more Nero Rose moments.”

Over the past few years, the entrepreneur has been focused on building the Bosman Bakoena Brands, which is dedicated to producing a diverse range of proudly African products, spanning from wines to grooming, beauty, and wellness.

Multi-media darling Minnie Dlamini took to social media to express her admiration for Mokoena.

“I met this silver fox brother of mine when I was about 18 years old and I remember telling him I was going to be on TV one day. @mokoenalive (forever a gentleman 🤣) looked at me and said, ‘everyone says that, but all the best baby girl, I’m sure you will.’

She continued share her appreciation for the actor.

“Over the years you’ve always offered me guidance, support and a friendship I’m so grateful for 🙏🏾 You’ve always moved in your own lane, at the highest level of professionalism and excellence. Inspired.
