Award-winning Cape Town rapper Bravo Le Roux has shared an emotional letter to his unborn child, offering a glimpse into the profound love and vulnerability he feels as he prepares to become a parent.
In the letter, shared on Instagram, Bravo opens with heartfelt words, “Dear Little One, as I write this, you are still growing, a tiny miracle I've yet to meet, but already love more than words can say. I think about you every day—what you'll look like, the sound of your laugh, and the incredible person you'll become.”
The artist, known for his raw lyricism, revealed his fears about parenthood while promising unwavering love and support.
“I won't pretend I'm not scared. The thought of being your parent is overwhelming at times. I wonder if I'll know how to guide you, teach you, and protect you in all the ways you'll need. But I promise you this: I'll always try my best. You'll never have to doubt how much I love you or how deeply I'll fight for your happiness,” he wrote.
Bravo’s letter encapsulates both his excitement and commitment,“The world is big and sometimes unpredictable, but together, we'll figure it out. I'll be here for your first steps, your first words, and every moment in between. You've already changed my life in ways I couldn't imagine, and I haven't even held you yet.”
The letter ends with a tender message, “Until that day comes, know that you are so loved, and I'm counting down the days until you're in my arms. With all my love, UYihlo.”
