Fossilised mammoth-ivory carvings, trinket boxes studded with gems, fossils, gemstones, and mineral specimens will be amongst the interesting array of exhibitions at the Gem & Mineral Show.

This colourful event will take place at Cresta Shopping Centre from Thursday 28th June to Sunday 8th July. The show will open from 9am to 5pm daily.

Whilst collectors can examine different mineral specimens both local and imported, raw gemstones, polished stones, meteorites, and various fossils including ammonite and coprolite (dinosaur droppings); a scratch-patch filled with tumbled stones of all colours is certain to delight children. There will also be an exhibition of old mining memorabilia and tools for faceting.

Another facet of the show will be the displays of beautiful gemstone jewellery. Bead necklaces; hand-crafted silver pendants, bracelets, earrings and rings set with amethyst, garnets, amber and other gems; rainbow rings; and a range of exquisite imported Indian jewellery will be amongst the colourful array.

Other exhibits will include healing stones and birthstones, gemstone trees and carved gemstone ornaments.
