When “Adulting” season two ended last year, a lot was going on. Bonga (Thembinkosi Mthembu) got married while his best friend Mpho (Thabiso Rammusi) was going through a divorce.

This month, “Adulting” is back for the third and final season, and there are going to be plenty of twists as the friends embrace new chapters in their lives.

While we want to see how Bonga, the playboy, navigates married life, we are keen on seeing Mpho tackle life as a divorcée.

Zithulele leaving him was such a bold decision because he thought she would bekezela (be patient with him) and stay but she chose herself instead.

Now that they are no longer together, he needs to step up and co-parent with the mothers of his children, including his mistress, with whom he has a second family.

“After realising the gravity of his mistakes and experiencing the void of divorce, Mpho knows he must change. The absence of family and unity weighs heavily on him; simple moments like coming home to an empty, cold house take their toll.

“In this new season, Mpho is determined to rebuild his relationship with his children. However, this presents a significant challenge as he tries to balance his desires with his parental responsibilities,” said Rammusi.

Speaking of parenting, we also want to see the relationship between Eric (Nhlanhla Kunene) and his daughter Ncumisa (Siphesihle Khanyile).

Raising a teenage girl as a single father is not easy and Ncumisa’s rebellious streak made Eric uncomfortable.

We hopeshe has grown a bit and understands that her father and grandmother only want what’s best for her.

However, there is something good happening in Eric’s life as he landed a 9-5 job, which will probably make his daughter take him even more seriously.

Mathews Rantsoma joins the show as a new character. The former “Scandal!’ star will be working with Eric as a mechanic at the warehouse.

Vuyani (Luthando BU Mthembu) is still with his sugar mama, who gave him a job to run the club. With the assistance of his friends, he manages to keep it alive and take it to greater heights.

∎ Season three of “Adulting” premières on Showmax on Saturday, January 25, at 8pm.
