South Africa’s music scene just scored big with singer-songwriter Shekhinah being selected to represent the country in the global Jameson Distilled Sounds project.

With her blend of Pop, R&B and a fearless approach to pushing boundaries, Shekhinah Donnell, fondly known to her fans as Shekhinah, is more than ready to show the world what South African music is all about.

The Jameson Distilled Sounds project is all about breaking down musical barriers and merging genres you never thought could work together.

Think alternative R&B meets Nigerian Afrobeats, New Delhi rap, and even South Korea pop, it’s a melting pot of global sounds inspired by community, connection and culture with artists from all over the world contributing their unique flavour.

And with Donnell at the forefront representing Mzansi, South African music is about to go even more global.

The Suited hitmaker, who’s been killing it on the local scene with her dynamic stage presence and killer vocals, is set to collaborate and create new music at the Jameson Sound Distillery this month.

This is another milestone for Donnell, after dropping Risk and Steady this year, her most recent singles, and teasing an album. Her unique take on R&B has already made waves locally, and now she’s set to take that energy to an international audience.

Jameson Distilled Sound collaborated with American singer, rapper and drummer Anderson Paak on this exciting project, he plays the role of the ‘’Music Distiller’’ (executive producer) as his amazing track record of collaborating with other artists makes him the best fit.

The project promises to be a game changer, putting different artists from all around the world together to produce a whole new sound that will surely be mind blowing to all the music enthusiasts out there. When these global sounds collide, it’s going to be astonishing.

Some of the artists that will be representing their countries in Ireland, home of Jameson, are Kaiit from Australia, Lady Donli from Nigeria, and New Delhi hip hop duo, Seedhe Maut.
