Amapiano’s top DJ duo, Scorpion Kings; DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, at the weekend brought the heat to Central Park, New York.
Their performance in New York, organised by Piano People has been widely praised by attendees and social media users. Scorpion Kings in May announced that they will for the first time in history perform in Central Park.
Piano People has hosted shows and festivals across the world, turning venues in London and Portugal into high-energy dance parties.

On Saturday, Scorpion Kings, made up of Kabza de Small and DJ Maphorisa, ensured to bring the good music and vibes for their performance. This was amapiano maestro Kabza De Small, real name Kabelo Motha’s first time performing in the United States.
Scorpion Kings were also joined by the legendary South African music producer Oskido, who made sure to document moments online for all his followers to see. DJ Tunez’ one of Nigeria’s top DJ and music producers, also shared the stage with Scorpion Kings.
Koke_nito on DJ Maphorisa’s Instagram post, commented on the great time they had at the concert; “Littttttttttttt! What a vibe we had Central Park on fire.”
The booked and busy DJs are already preparing for their next international performance which will be in Southwark Park in London on August 23. The line-up features favourites, Young Stunna, Mawhoo and Grammy award-winning Zakes Bantwini.
There is definitely no stopping Scorpion Kings, even when rumours surface online that their friendship may be going through it, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small focus on what’s important, the music.
