Award-winning radio personality Penny Ntuli shared her latest career decision after receiving a lucrative job offer from another radio station and declining the offer. During her conversation with Mr Njomane, the CEO of Jozi FM, Penny reflected on her journey and the invaluable support she has received from him.

Mr Njomane’s response to her potential departure was not to pressure her to stay, but rather to express his trust in her decision-making. "I trust you, my child, to make the decision," he said, a sentiment that underscored the nurturing environment he has fostered at Jozi FM.

Penny’s gratitude towards Mr Njomane is palpable. She reminisced about how he patiently accommodated her when she first moved to Johannesburg, “uBaba was patient with me, tried by all means to accommodate me in Johannesburg, booked me into a hotel for a whole month, took me to work every day (yes with a V Class)” Penny said.

This support played a significant role in her professional development and ultimately led her to a prominent on-air position from Monday to Friday.

The opportunities provided by Jozi FM have not only advanced her career but have also helped her connect with fans who have witnessed her growth. Penny credits much of her success, including her accolades, to the exposure and experience she gained while working at the station.

Recognising the temptation of lucrative offers from other stations, Penny made the thoughtful decision to decline the new opportunity. "I don’t want to chase every promising offer," she said.

Instead, she has committed to staying at Jozi FM for at least another year or two, valuing the relationships and experiences that have shaped her career.

Penny Ntuli’s story is a testament to the importance of loyalty and gratitude in the competitive world of media. As she continues her journey at Jozi FM, her fans and colleagues alike can look forward to her growth and the inspiring content she will undoubtedly continue to create.
