Gunning gave a heartfelt and emotional acceptance speech, expressing her excitement at the honour.

"Oh my goodness me, blinking heckers, thank you so much. I honestly feel like I am going to wake up any minute now and this whole thing has been a dream,” Gunning said.

"Thank you very, very much indeed. I am so incredibly proud to be part of Baby Reindeer."

She also expressed gratitude to Richard Gadd, the series creator, writer, and lead actor.

"My biggest thanks has to go to Mr Richard Gadd, thank you for trusting me to be your Martha. I will never, ever forget her or you or this, it really means a lot".

Gadd was also honoured during the event, receiving Best Actor in a Limited Series and Best Writing for a Limited Series for his work on “Baby Reindeer”.

The 76th Emmys marked the second ceremony held in 2024, following the 75th edition in January, which had been delayed due to the 2023 writers and actors strikes.
